A. DCBA 3214291830Z Sep 94 B DCBA 3230 211502Z Aug 95 During the period of April 95 through Sep 95, I, T68 400 662, Cpl S. O'Doherty, was serving as a reservist on a Class C contract as Pte with 2R22R on OP HARMONY ROTO 6 in Croatia. I was scheduled for my leave block home during the period of 14 Aug 95 to 6 Sep 95, however, this leave was cancelled due to the Croatian offensive launched on 3 Aug 95. I am trying to prove I was scheduled to go on leave during this period and that it was not given to me following the offensive, or upon repatriation. The refs clearly state that if UN leave is cancelled due to operational reasons than that leave is to be taken as special leave upon repatriation. It also states that if it is not used it is forfeited. At the time I was not aware of the direction within the refs and am requesting verification of my leave plan from 2R22R's records to be used to substantiate my request that I be given that leave now. Specifically, I am requesting the 2R22R OP HARMONY ROTO 6 leave plan for the period 14 Aug 95 to 6 Sep 95. The transport plan, if one exists, for Aug 95, any record of direction from the CO on, or about, 3 Aug 95 with respect to the cancellation of leave, and any documents pertaining to the 2R22R leave plan upon repatriation. Mr. Boyne Murphy of Port Elgin New Brunswick found out about this some how and bought 6 acres of cottage frontage at Allen's Beach in Bayside N.B. and leased this property to the D.N.D. for six weeks at which time during their stay at Allen's Beach the heavy volume of Army traffic did a great deal of damage to our 24 foot right of way. As per our phone discussion a few weeks ago, for the past 5 years I have been researching the history of Vernon Army Cadet Camp and it's various predecessors: S17; Canadian Battledrill School; and summer militia and cavalry camps 1911-1946. One of the aspects of research has been finding nominal rolls of the cadet camp 1949 - to date. At this time I have found partial nominal rolls for 1955-71, 1973-76, 1991-99 resulting in some 34,500+ names to date. I have been unable to locate any other nominal rolls. However in speaking with the paymaster at the camp, it was suggested that I may find these missing names by way of the pay dockets stored on microfiche, as the pay dockets have to be stored for some 50 years due to regulations. This I find quite interesting, I do realize there may be other information on dockets which is confidential and not privy to my yes, that's fine, that information could be blacked. All I'm really interested in is names, years and breakdown as to cadets, militia; reg force;CsofC/Cil/Cic. I thank you in advance, I'm including a $5 cheque made out to the federal government as per your request. 1999.12.09 991121 ALL CORRESPONDENCE BETWEEN NDHQ A All correspondence between NDHQ and the Canadian Defence Attaché in Australia regarding Reform Defence Critic Art Hangar's trip to Australia in October 1999, include any correspondence regarding the proposed trip to East Timor.
